So being a mother and wife seems to be all about keeping the house clean and feeding everyone. Well this is true a lot of the time, but you also need to make time for yourself. You need to take a few hours out of each month and spend it on yourself….. pamper yourself and do something you enjoy.
For me, this is getting my nails done. I usually go down to the local beauty salon and pay $50 to get a nice gel manicure. But I recently did some research into doing it myself and found that it is quite feasible to do so! It can even save you some serious money!

Think about it, if you spend $50 at a salon once a month, that is $600 a year…sounds like a lot hey? And let me tell you, for that you can get a pretty good LED Nail Lamp, a bottom coat, some gel nail colors and a top coat and even some extra tools to make your life easier…and you will still have money left over!
And for that money you would not even have to get a cheap stuff, you could lash out and really spoil yourself. Get a quality nail lamp, some really good Gelish polishes and a lovely manicure set.
It does not take long to learn to do your gel nails yourself – spend a bit of time practicing and getting it right. You won’t get it 100% correct the first time, but you will slowly get better and before you know it your friends and family will think you went to the salon anyway. Hey – you may even be able to impress them and do their nails too. Maybe this is a new way to make some cash?
Anyway, I have digressed a bit – but please do remember to take some time out of your daily routine every once in a while to pamper yourself – buy something you WANT not something you need and make sure it is for you.
Please let me know in the comments what you do regularly for yourself!

When we do the cleaning around the house, it is easy to get frustrated and hate it every second it takes. But I believe that doing the house work isn’t all that bad. It is all in how you view the situation.
